OUR STORY

“I truly believe in CoWork Springfield’s mission and I am committed to building a diverse community of like-minded entrepreneurs and professionals that can help each other. By far, the number one benefit of working in any coworking space is making great connections.” – Samalid Hogan, Founder of CoWork Springfield.

SAMALID HOGAN, Founder, CoWork Springfield

It all starts with networking…

Samalid Hogan founded CoWork Springfield based on the premise that the more people you know, the greater access to opportunities, knowledge, and information you have.  She wanted to create an organization focused on connecting people.

Samalid first launched CoWork Springfield @TechSpring in March of 2015. The collaboration between TechSpring and CoWork Springfield allows all coworking members to have direct access to CoWork Springfield’s network of professionals and individuals that attend monthly Meet & Greets, workshops, and other networking events hosted by CoWork Springfield.  It is a unique Win-Win collaboration which has created a vibrant entrepreneurial community of CoWork Springfield and TechSpring members. CoWork Springfield @TechSpring is now a central hub for companies working in the healthcare and technology industries.

In January 2016, Samalid launched CoWork Springfield @Scibelli Enterprise Center. This new space is open to members from a wide variety of industries including marketing, sales, advertising, multi-media design, IT, non-profits, and more. Member of CoWork Springfield @Scibelli Enterprise Center have access to all of the amenities offered to tenants at the Scibelli Enterprise Center.

Through partnerships and collaborations, Samalid has been able to connect great places to work independently but also to connect with diverse and vibrant communities on entrepreneurial minds.

CoWork Springfield vision is to:

  1. Empower and assist women and minority-owned businesses to grow by fostering a diverse peer support network of entrepreneurs.
  2. Tap into the local talent and create opportunities for sharing ideas and expertise, cross-marketing, networking, and collaboration.
  3. Continue to nurture vibrant collaborative workspaces by sharing best practices and lessons learned.

Thank you CoWork Springfield for your well organized, quaint and informative events where I have met many new interesting and friendly people. Recently, I needed a service and remembered someone I met at a CoWork Springfield event but couldn’t remember her name so I e-mailed Samalid (founder of CoWork Springfield) and she was able to connect us and it all worked out.

CoWork Springfield is just what I have been looking for! As a seasoned entrepreneur I felt as though I needed a place to learn and grow as a small business owner. I can’t commit to long term classes, and this is just what I was looking for. Thanks!

CoWork Springfield connects me to other business owners and institutions on a daily, and weekly basis, that directly add to my network but also towards my education by way of their regular business workshops.
